Just another day. The temperature is in the 40s, and that's mighty cold, for Miami. It could be in the 30s tonight and we've pulled out all of the winter clothes. It's not like we have goose-down parkas, or anything like it, so we just layer the sweaters, sweatshirts, light jackets and scarves. I love cool weather-for a change, but this arctic blast has impelled me to turn on the heat (reverse flow of the AC) and stay in. We are listening to a book, The Good Thief, and I made hot chocolate.

Beach

My cousin, from California, was in town this week and had a condo over on Miami Beach, up past the Fountainbleu. Everybody went over and we all hung-out on the beach. The ocean was like bathwater so one could stay in for as long as one wanted without being chilled. Sister stayed upstairs and made Arroz con Pollo. It was great.
